My two books
Friday, January 3, 2014
I realize I haven't let it be known that I've written two books for caregivers, at least not on this blog. I get consistently positive feedback from readers about it readability and easy style. I loved writing the first one, Matters of the Mind...and the Heart (it is available on our website. I send it to you, signed if  you wish). The second one, New Trends in Alzheimer Care; Finding the spirit within, an e-book available on Amazon.com took some time to write as it is partly my own caregiving story with my mother in law. To write it without the emotion I felt about the journey, I waited two years after her death to publish it. I wanted people to know that even when you are knowledgeable in Alzheimer care, you are open to making some of the same mistakes others make when the person cared for is close to you. We made lots of errors and I wrote about them, in mostly humorous stories. You must have hope and humor to survive caregiving someone with Alzheimer's. We all did survive but not without some very disturbing incidents that I knew we as her caregivers caused. Go read them; you won't be disappointed.
